Bottles & Gunshots Mash Up Follow Di Arrow Show

Last night during Follow Di Arrow show certain people in the audience decided to rain down bottles and stones on Bounty Killer. During the event, which was held in St. Mary at James Bond Beach, Bounty started to say something about Vybz Kartel when all hell broke loose. Bounty tried to hold him grounds by refusing to leave the stage. He said, "Mi nah run, after mi nah play dandy shandy” but the bottles coming at him got to be too much because he eventually fled the stage.

Word on the streets is that Vybz also went on stage to confront Bounty and also had to leave because of the violence. Gunshot erupted adding to the chaos and people had to run for their lives. Several people were injured but the details of their injuries is unknown at this time.

People need fi just cool.

Jamaican On NYC Hot Chef List

Jamaican chef Sean John was named one of New York's hottest chefs by Macy’s Culinary Council in honor of Black History Month. He recently prepared Ackee and saltfish for shoppers at Macy's Herald Square location, reports Caribbean Life News.

John is the operator and chef of Spur Tree Lounge, located at 76 Orchard St. (bet Broome & Grand Sts.) and opens daily for dinner and brunch.

Bounty Killer: Vybz Kartel Can't Celebrate Black History Month [Video]

During a performance in Montego Bay, Bounty Killer says "me caan believe say Kartel a bleach out him face....He can't celebrate da month, Black History." The action takes place at the 2:10 mark.

Buju Banton Found Guilty On Three Charges

 Buju Banton was found guilty on three drug-related charges in a Tampa, Florida court today. The Jamaica Gleaner reports:
Buju was found guilty on conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute five kilograms or more of a mixture and substance containing a detectable amount of cocaine. He was found not guilty for attempting to possess five kilograms or more of cocaine.

He was found guilty for aiding and abetting others in using a communication facility in the commission of a felony.  He was also found guilty for knowingly and intentionally possessing a firearm in furtherance of and during the course of a drug-trafficking crime.
Buju has maintained his innocence since he was arrested December 2009 saying he was only try to impress the drug dealers because they had music industry contacts. The trail which started on February 14th was his second trial. The first trial ended in a mistrial.

The singer thanked his fans for their support in a statement: "Our life and our destiny are sometimes predestined and no matter where this journey takes me remember I fought the good fight. It was a great man that said my head is bloody but sill endowed. I love you all, thank you for your support."

He has not been sentenced yet but he is faces up to 20 years in jail.
